Here we go! 2019 Fall Bridal Fashion Week has come to a close, and we have the highlights for wedding dress trends for 2019. We reviewed several top fashion expert opinions (Brides, Vogue, Wedding Wire, Martha Stewart) for the hottest wedding dress trends.
- Royal Inspiration: top on everyone's list were Meghan Markle's wedding gown (elegant, minimalist styling, crisp fabric, boatneck and off-the-shoulder necklines) and reception dress (nod to the '90's slip dress featuring high necks, and halter stylings).
- Crop Tops and Separates: bear mid riffs are back!! Sleek, off-the-shoulder crop tops and coordinating skirts are all the rage!
- Jump Suits/Pant Suits/Rompers: Brides can choose after-party ready looks in every style from cropped/modern to flowing/bohemian.
- Shrugs: capes were the in cover-up accent for 2018; this year elegantly drape bare shoulders with tulle or lace shrugs.
- Color: the range is broad...pastels, bold and bright, ombre. But be sure to embellish gowns with deep/vibrant jewel tone embroideries and metallic gems.
- Sleeves: this is the year of "statement" sleeves. Every fashion forward style is represented...from fitted to puffy.
- Fairytale Princess: volume is key. Multi-tiered skirts of tulle skirts create volume for that perfect princess feel.
- Asymmetry and Geometrics: cutting edge design technology combines geometric patterns with unconventional angles, layers, and fabric placement for dynamic looks.
- Glitter: Sparkle!! Glitz!! Glam!! need we say more? The roaring twenties inspire styles with low waistlines, sequins, and fringe.
- Bridal "Athleisure": new to the bridal fashion world. Love your yoga pants? Bridal tracksuits are the new fashion statement for this year.
- Bows: from tiny and functional for fastening to large and puffy to lend a sculptured effect, bows are a must.
- Waistline: enhance your waistline with a colored (black is hot for 2019), satin sash, a jeweled belt, or a brooch.
Whatever your style, there is a perfect gown out there for you. Good luck in your search!!
